We are excited to be meeting back in person as a Group from Thursday 7 October at our new venue at St Lukes Community Center.
Following the recent closure of our old venue at Burn Park Methodist Church, we know you will want to join us in extending our gratitude for their support over the years. Over the coming term, we will be encouraging our young people to reflect on their best times at Burn Park Methodist Church as we settle into our new venue.
We would also like to take this opportunity to give a massive thank you to St Lukes Community Centre for their warm welcome to the Group, enabling us to return to face to face Scouting once more. Over the coming term, we are looking forward to delivering a programme full of youth led adventure, getting back to the roots of what makes 65th Sunderland Scout Group.
As we come back together this week in person, we would like to encourage you all to take a minute to pause, reflect and celebrate the resilience you have shown during what has been a challenging time for everyone during the ongoing global pandemic; we especially want to thank our young people and their families for keeping Scouting going through our virtual online meetings. During this time our parents have all become occasional helpers, enabling our young people to access and engage with our activities from the safety of their homes.
